Clothespins Flower DIY Activity

Help your little ones develop their pincer grasp with this fun activity. This purchase includes two faces and a flower petal stencil download for printing at home.

📝 Instructions
  1. print out the desired face and cut out a circle
  2. use the face as a stencil to draw a circle on your cardboard and cut out
  3. tap face onto the cardboard circle
  4. if making the sun: attach warm colored clothes pins around (yellow, orange, red)
  5. if making the flower: print out the flower petal stencil
  6. you can cut it out as a stencil or use the trace, flip, scratch method on your white cardstock. Cut out 7 petals
  7. attach 7 clothes pins (color doesn't matter) to your face and layout petals on top of clothes pins
  8. hot glue petals on top of clothes pins so it matches the edge of the inside (clip part) of the clothespin
  9. show your child how to take pins on and off (I like to count as well)
  10. Let them play! (I like the count of the flower petals as my son "plucks" them off)

  • hot glue gun (for flower design only)
  • tape
