print out the desired face and cut out a circle
use the face as a stencil to draw a circle on your cardboard and cut out
tap face onto the cardboard circle
if making the sun: attach warm colored clothes pins around (yellow, orange, red)
if making the flower: print out the flower petal stencil
you can cut it out as a stencil or use the trace, flip, scratch method on your white cardstock. Cut out 7 petals
attach 7 clothes pins (color doesn't matter) to your face and layout petals on top of clothes pins
hot glue petals on top of clothes pins so it matches the edge of the inside (clip part) of the clothespin
show your child how to take pins on and off (I like to count as well)
Let them play! (I like the count of the flower petals as my son "plucks" them off)
